"Anne with an E" is a Canadian television series that aired on CBC Television in Canada and was available internationally on Netflix. The show was canceled by Netflix after its third season, despite being popular among its fanbase.

Some fans of "Anne with an E" believe that the show's fourth season should not have been canceled. They were emotionally invested in the characters and story, and were eager to see how the plot would progress. They argue that the show was important because it addressed significant social issues, such as feminism, LGBTQ+ rights, and racism, in a sensitive and thoughtful manner. Moreover, some fans feel that the show had more potential to explore the characters and their stories further. However, Netflix made the final decision to cancel the show, and there could have been other reasons that influenced this outcome.

Fans of the show launched a petition to try and save the series, which amassed hundreds of thousands of signatures, but unfortunately, the show was not renewed. However, the show's creators and cast have continued to express their gratitude to the show's passionate fanbase, and have hinted that the story of Anne Shirley may not be over just yet, leaving the possibility of a continuation in the future.
